Zap Art's record of cultural innovation includes:
  • In 2004, presenting the world premiere of one of the largest shows to be produced in Europe: Transe Express's ‘The Lazy Kings' (SOB04)
  • Leading the campaign to establish a Creation Centre in the UK devoted to the development of street arts
  • Experimenting with groundbreaking models of creating work through dynamic cultural exchange between cutting edge companies, local artists and communities – WILDWORKS (SOB06), Le Cercle de la Litote and Ragroof Theatre (SOB05), The World Famous (SOB05)
  • Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Brighton Festival in 2006 by commissioning new shows from internationally acclaimed artists WILDWORKS and Groupe F, the pyrotechnic alchemists who lit up the Eiffel Tower for Millennium Eve (SOB06)
  • Co-producing the UK premiere of KompleX Kapharnaum's acclaimed ‘PlayRec', developed with the largest ever consortium of European co-producers.
